Genisis was built as a 2B Surveyed Vessel for the Tasmanian Goverment and served as a Police and Fisheries vessel in the extremes of Tasmanian Waters for her early years, she was one of a number built by Tamar, a recognised and respected name from Tasmania's long history of quality boat builders. Multiple refits have her now as a fully functional, homely cruiser for a single, couple or family group..

Genisis has for many years now served as a tough "go anywhere" cruiser or expedition vessel, with her large fuel capacity, long range a very unique very sociable layout. The layout is enhanced by the engine space being at the rear of the vessel, motors, generator, utility room, drystack rear high stainless exhauts ensuring no/minimal fuming to the duck board and rear deck, are all aft reducing noise and in doing so providing a large social second lounge area midships on the lower deck flowing thru to the 3 - 4 cabins. While Genisis can easily be handled by one or two (recently single-handed from Mackay to the Gold Coast) she lends herself to being the long term home to a couple, family or group of mates for the Ultimate Adventure. Most recently Genisis has retured to the Gold Coast after having been as far north as Lizard Island, she is range capable of, Tasmania, New Zealand, The Pacific Islands or Indonesia as the ultimate surf platform, and while she has 3 - 4 cabins, lounge space and other options could see her accommodate 10 - 12 people easily.
