The 1190 Sport has been developed for sailors looking for performance without compromising comfort and range.

The 1190 is a variant of the popular 1160 cruising range and has been optimized by François Perus in collaboration with Alan Carwardine, two of the industry's leading multihull designers. It offers all the advantages of a modern sports catamaran without losing the ability to also perform as a long-distance cruiser. Carbon was used in the layup of its crossbeam and arch to add stiffness and reduce weight. Kilograms were also saved by moving to fiber standing rigging and replacing twin 30-horsepower Yanmars and saildrives with a couple of 25-horsepower Yamaha Hi-Thrust outboards that can be tilted up while sailing to eliminate drag. They are also easy to service and maintain.
