The Contender 30 Step Tournament or 30ST is for serious sport fisherman who dream of chasing sportfish anywhere including off the continental shelf. Anywhere along the east coast of Australia is fair game in a Contender 30 Step Tournament. The boat is built on a Contender's customisable hand-laid fibreglass, 24.5 -degree deadrise hull. Under pinning that is a multi-directional fabric and foam cored stringer system with added foam floatation. The deck is also a self-draining design which does not come at the expense of internal freeboard. This makes it safer for all types of uses.

The Contender 30 ST also rides on their unique stepped hull design. This design improves fuel efficiency and speed by introducing air into the hull, thus reducing drag. The hull is built to last and provide a safe and dry ride in any conditions. Save fuel and time. What more could you want from a sports fishing hull? At 9.0 metres long and 2.9 metres wide, there is plenty of space onboard for relaxing, yet fishing is the focus here.

The bow area is open with masses of underfloor storage on offer. Anglers can fish right up to the sides which is not always the case in centre console designs. Adding to the comfort are side coamings that run the entire inner circumference of the boat, combining function and comfort in one. At the stern you will find more underfloor storage bins than you could know what to do with. You can also option up with an additional live well in the floor.

For anglers using live baits, there are twin 150-litre live wells at the transom allowing you to separate your baits efficiently.

The Contender 30 Step Tournament can be optioned up with your choice of console, hard top, fishing accessories, lighting, electronics package, and rod holders. The electronics are fitted in Australia once the boat arrives. Also the Contender 30 Step Tournament can be put into 2C survey.

Twin engine performance is standard with twin 150,200,250, and 300HP engines an option. The Contender 30 ST is built to fish and make the worst of conditions seem like a light breeze.
